Haim Weinberg, PhD, CGP is currently accepting new patients
in his private practice internship: Psychological Assistant
(PSB32763) supervised by Catherine Cohen PsyD (PSY16313). The
office is at 3010 I Street, Midtown Sacramento.
I am an experienced psychotherapist licensed in Israel who
has recently moved to California. For the past 24 years I worked
as a clinical psychologist in Israel, providing individual,
couple, family, and group psychotherapy both in private practice
and a university clinic setting. I am a Certified Group
Psychotherapist (CGP) and a Group Analysis Diplomat. My special
interest in group psychotherapy has included authorship of
several articles and a recent book publication: The Large
Group Revisited, Jessica Kingsley Publications, 2003.
I work with adults, couples and adolescents, mostly with
interpersonal difficulties and relationship problems, and I also
have experience with trauma survivors with a
relational/psychodynamic emphasis.
I will be starting a psychodynamic mixed group (adult men and
women) focused on interpersonal problems and relational issues.
Patients appropriate for this group include those with affective
and anxiety disorders as well as the "worried-well" with
relational concerns and problems with intimacy. I screen the
patients individually. Regarding clients who are in individual
therapy and are referred to a group, I assure continuous
collaboration and communication with the therapist. I am
multilingual and can conduct treatment in both English and
Hebrew. Multicultural issues are a strength!
